The CASMI advisory board
This contest is not about winning, but is all about advancing the
identification of small molecules from mass spectral data. To help
this goal, CASMI is supported by its advisory board:
Lloyd Sumner (Noble
Foundation) works on the development,
advancement, and application of leading-edge
instrumental techniques for the large-scale
profiling and identification of the functional
products of gene expression, namely proteins and
metabolites.
Vladimir
Likic (Melbourne, Australia) has worked in various
areas of bioinformatics since 1991. His interests
include mass spectrometry signal processing,
metabolic networks, and metabolic flux analysis in
microbial pathogens. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of
'Metabolites',
and led bioinformatics activities of
in Metabolomics
Australia (a national service centre
for metabolomics) from 2007-2011 .
Susan
D. Richardson (EPA, Ecosystems Research)
focuses on the identification of new disinfection
by-products (DBPs) in drinking water, determining
formation mechanisms, and integrating toxicological
characterization with chemical characterization
approaches.
Sandra Perez Solsona (Institute of Environmental
Assessment and Water Research, CSIC, Barcelona,
Spain) concentrates her research efforts on the fate
and toxicity of emerging pollutants, their
metabolites and transformation products in the
aquatic environment.
